Our Story

Hi there! I'm Krista Adamson, a 34-year-old mother on a journey that has taken me from the comforting walls of a hospital to the world of baby clothing. I've always been passionate about two things – caring for others, especially babies, and making choices that have a positive impact on our world.

With two little ones of my own and a career as a nurse practitioner, my days were already filled with nurturing and healing. But one sunny day, as I held my youngest in my arms, an idea sparked. Why not create something special for these little bundles of joy while also contributing to a sustainable future?

And so, the concept of a RillaRue was born. It wasn't just about making soft and comfy garments; it was a conscious decision to embrace bamboo – an eco-friendly choice that mirrored my commitment to both the well-being of babies and the health of our planet.

As I dived into the realm of sustainable fashion, I poured my heart into every step of the journey. Selecting the softest bamboo fabrics and designing adorable yet functional baby clothes became a labor of love. Balancing the responsibilities of motherhood, my demanding career, and the challenges of starting a business was no easy feat, but my passion and resilience kept me going.

With the unwavering support of my family, friends, and a growing community of parents who shared my vision, RillaRue began to flourish. It wasn't just about creating clothes; it was about building a community. Mothers and fathers resonated with my story, finding a connection with a brand that not only provided quality clothing but also shared their values.

RillaRue has become more than just a business – it's a symbol of love, sustainability, and the incredible journey of motherhood. I remain at its heart, embodying the spirit of a nurturing mother who turned a dream into reality, one bamboo onesie at a time.
